DIY reading nook: my first guest post {squeal!}

Y'all probably know by now I'm not a squealer, so my news today must mean a great deal to me because I can't stop squealing when I see it: my first guest post on another blog! I was so pleased that Emily from S.A.H.M. i AM asked me to return the favor she did for me a few weeks back. Emily is a great friend, and she shares the unique distinction of being the only virtual-world bestie of mine; I've never met her in person but we've gabbed by phone, e-mail, and gobs of blog comments. I was drawn to her blog the first time I participated in NaBloPoMo, so I emailed her to tell her how much I loved it, and the rest is history. And get this...we even share a birthday!

If you only read one post of mine this week, let it be this one. The post is about my quest to make a reading nook for the girls using what I had around the house, and I'm pretty proud of how the nook turned out...without a single penny spent!

Congrats Justine! Loved the post, it made me want to create my own nook. And, I agree, there should be a font for sarcasm. :)

Love it ! Is that the "doll house " I got her ? That's such a creative way to use it . After we had it up I thought to myself how much useless room it was going to take up , and look what it has become !

Nope, not a doll house. It's a tent, remember? And it did seem to take up so much room when placed in the middle, but off to the side it is just perfect.
